If You Won’t Invest in You, Who Will?

These last few days, showing up has been my motto.

I attended an event hosted by the incredible JT Foxx — and let me tell you, calling him "amazing" feels like an understatement for how his mind works. 🤯

There I was, excited, ready for class to begin. Pen to paper. Writing down notes and already mapping out actionable steps to improve not just myself, but my business.

The room was filled with like-minded individuals, all there for the same purpose: to scale.

But here’s the real win: I invested in myself today.

Not just by attending, but by making connections, answering questions, getting out of my comfort zone, and doing the work.

As a nurse leader and entrepreneur, let me remind you:

No one will invest in you if you aren't willing to invest in yourself.

That’s what separates them from us.

And let me be real with you for a moment…

By the end of the day, I was exhausted. I hadn’t eaten because the day was packed from start to finish.

We had a lunch break, and I went to the hotel restaurant to order food, but it was so busy that by the time my break was over, I still hadn’t received my meal.

I chalked it up and thought, "I’m very hungry, but not starving. There are people around the world who don’t have food at all. Missing two meals today won’t kill me. After all, Ramadan was just last month — so missing a meal or two isn’t a big deal."

Now my coffee, baby, that was another story! 😅 They made it so strong I couldn’t even drink it!

But I stayed very alert. Honestly, I couldn’t even sleep last night because I was so ready to learn from him.

I stretched myself today. Answered questions. Connected with strangers.

On the ride home, I sat quietly in the back of my Lyft, visualizing the next few months. What do I need to do? Why? Why again?

Because success doesn’t knock on your door.

It comes from consistency. It comes from getting in rooms with people who have the same drive and mindset as you.

When I share tips or drop gems, know that I’m walking this same path. I’m not just talking about growth. I’m living it.

When was the last time you invested in yourself?

I can’t tell you how many people reach out to me for help in their roles, facing real challenges in their facilities, yet continuously hesitate to invest in themselves — to get the program, the products, the coaching that could truly change things for them.

In the beginning, I would brush it off. “No big deal,” I thought. But now?

Now, I realize I’m offering real solutions — solutions that improve not just the leader but the entire facility.

It’s time to invest in yourself.

That’s what separates us from them.

It’s not about the money.

It’s about the value.

It’s about the results.

Invest in yourself. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Because that’s where the growth happens.

If you’re ready to stop surviving and start thriving, I’m here to help you lead with confidence and clarity.

Whether it’s through my DON Planner, training programs, or a 1:1 strategy session, there’s a way to get started—because growth starts with investing in YOU.

💡 Let’s take that next step together.
