Let’s be real — DONs don’t just run facilities. We’re therapists, troubleshooters, crisis managers, and let’s not forget, we still have a whole personal life that demands attention. Sound familiar?

Step 1: Brain Dump It, Clear that mental clutter. Get it ALL out — personal, professional, all of it.

Step 2: Clarity = Categorize: Turn that chaos into clarity. What’s a project? What’s a goal? What’s urgent? What needs team involvement? No more guessing.
Step 3: Delegate Like a DON Boss: You’re not here to do everything. Match the task to the right skill level. (Spoiler alert: CNAs should NOT be counting bedside meds.)
Step 4: Target Dates or Nah? If your task has no deadline, it’s just a wish. You need a start and end date to hit your target like a pro.
Step 5: #ButDidYouFollowThrough: This isn’t just a checklist — it’s a commitment. Track who’s responsible, what was assigned, and what’s the STATUS. If it’s incomplete? Root cause it.
Step 6: Weekly Reset = Weekly Power Up: You can't keep building on broken systems. Review, revise, reset weekly. Keep that leadership flow strong and sharp.
Step 7: Make Habits That Lead to Success: Rounding. Morning Clinical. Visibility. These are non-negotiables. Make them second nature and watch your survey outcomes transform.
