When I was creating my leadership course, I had an eye-opening moment while going through the different styles.
You know, the ones that define whether you’re the boss everyone loves or...well, the one everyone avoids. 😂
As I read through each style, I had to laugh—because I saw a little bit of me in all of them!
The one that I scored the highest on?
Transformational Leadership.
If you know me, this probably doesn’t surprise you!
I love inspiring people, pushing them to be their best, and watching them grow.
The energy is contagious.
But let’s not pretend I don’t have a strong Bureaucratic side too.
Look, I’m all about sticking to policy and procedures—there’s no guessing game when the rules are clear.
It’s not personal, it’s policy!
Following protocol keeps things fair and makes decision-making easy.
And let’s not forget Visionary Leadership.
Yep, that’s me dreaming of the future, mapping out the big picture, and getting everyone on board with the exciting plans ahead.
You can count on me to be thinking five steps ahead (sometimes ten, if we’re being honest).
What I’ve realized is that having characteristics from multiple leadership styles makes me adaptable.
I can be who my team needs me to be at any given moment.
Flexibility is key, and knowing when to lean into each style is what keeps me moving forward.
