Planning and Preparing for 2025 with Intention

Hey Boo Hey!

I can’t believe we’re heading into 2025 already! Where did the time go? This year, like every other, came with its fair share of ups and downs—maybe even more downs than ups for some.

But take a moment right now to reflect on all you’ve gained and accomplished.

Yes, you! Recognize the hard work, commitment, and resilience you’ve shown—not just for yourself but for the people you serve.

Sometimes, we get so consumed by life’s busyness that we forget to simply breathe and take it all in.

Before we dive into what’s next, I want to guide you through a little exercise. Are you ready?

Step 1: Reflect on 2024

  • Find a Calm Space: Sit in a welcoming, peaceful environment. Relax for 20 minutes with your eyes closed and think about everything you accomplished this year. Let the good moments replay in your mind.

  • Brain Dump: When the 20 minutes are up, grab a pen and paper (or your favorite journal) and jot everything down. No judgment, no filtering—just write it all. Look at that list! You’ve done so much and been of service to so many.

Step 2: Reflect on YOU

Now comes the important part. Look at your list and ask yourself: What have I done for me this year?

  • Did you treat yourself to a massage, mani-pedi, or facial?

  • Did you stay in bed when you needed rest?

  • Go for a walk?

  • Eat healthy meals?

  • Take a vacation?

Be honest with yourself—how often did you prioritize your needs? If the answer feels like "not enough," know that you’re not alone. But we’re flipping that script in 2025!

Step 3: Plan for 2025

Let’s start with you first, because you can’t pour from an empty cup. Write down what you want to improve in the new year, both personally and professionally:

  • What habits or routines can you build to prioritize your health and happiness?

  • What goals excite you for the year ahead?

As for me, I’ve already started my plan:

  • Becoming more connected to God. The more connected I am, the less stress I tend to have.

  • Caring for my body. I’m focusing on improving how I care for myself entirely.

  • Starting my NP program! I’ve put this off for way too long, and it’s time to get it done.

  • Traveling more. Your girl now has a passport—let’s go!

  • Spending more time with family and friends. This year, I’m making those moments a priority.

Step 4: Commit to Putting YOU First

2025 is the year we commit to putting our needs first so we can be our best selves for others.

  • Schedule self-care moments like appointments.

  • Stick to boundaries that protect your energy.

  • Make your well-being a priority—not a last resort.

By doing this, you’ll not only feel better but show up stronger, more focused, and more capable of serving others.

Final Thoughts

As we step into 2025, let’s carry this mantra: "I am my best self when I take care of myself first."
