Don’t Quit Today — Quit Tomorrow

Ever have one of those days where you just want to throw in the towel? That was me today.
From the moment I walked in, it felt like everything was coming undone — one call-out after another, unexpected discharges, unplanned hospital transfers, and concerns popping up left and right.
Leadership isn’t easy. Some days it feels like you’re holding everything together with tape, faith, and a silent prayer between phone calls.
And on top of that, I’m running a business, raising children, and arguing with my most non-compliant patient ever — my mother. 😂 Alhamdulillah for her, but let’s just say she gives me a run for my money.
By the end of the day, I was completely tapped out — nothing left to give.
So instead of forcing myself to jump on the computer and “grind,” I listened to my body. I didn’t work on my business tonight. I got in bed. No guilt. Just rest.
As I sat there reflecting, I remembered a line I heard on a podcast earlier today that hit me hard:
“Don’t quit today. Quit tomorrow.”
It made me pause. Because truthfully, there have been many moments in this journey — as a leader, entrepreneur, and mother — when I’ve wanted to walk away.
This path hasn’t been easy. For the last five years, I’ve been planting seeds — making mistakes, learning lessons, trying again, and growing through the process.
I’ve made more errors than I can count, but I’ve kept pushing because I believe in myself, even when it feels like no one sees what I see.
There are days when I question it all. Can I really do this? And the quiet answer that always rises is yes.
Because the return on investment doesn’t always come in dollars. Sometimes it comes in impact.
It’s the message from a nurse leader who tells me one of my posts encouraged her not to give up.
It’s the client who finally feels supported after struggling with a policy.
It’s the person patiently waiting for my next planner release.
It’s the ripple effect of every person I’m blessed to reach.
That’s what keeps me going.
So when the thought of quitting creeps in, I tell myself — Don’t quit today. Quit tomorrow. And when tomorrow comes, I say it again. Because consistency beats motivation every time.
As leaders, we teach resilience by living it.
Your team watches how you respond to chaos, disappointment, and exhaustion.
They don’t need perfection — they need to see your presence.
They need to see you hold steady, even when the day tries to knock you off balance.
If you’re reading this and you feel defeated, overwhelmed, or unseen — I get it.
I’ve been there. Don’t quit today. Quit tomorrow. And when tomorrow comes… quit the next day.
Your day is coming. Stay consistent. Stay patient.Keep planting. 🌱
You may not see it yet, but your seeds are growing.
