Recently, I received some shocking but exciting news—I’ve been nominated for the Women of Excellence Award.
Let me tell you, when that email hit my inbox, I was stunned. It caught me completely off guard and had me reflecting deeply on my journey.
This moment reminded me why it’s so important to be a person who exudes kindness, respect, and integrity—someone who does what’s right even when no one is watching.
Because, as I’ve learned, someone is always watching.
An Unexpected Call
I remember a day at work when my phone rang, and to my surprise, it was NADONA (National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration). As someone certified with them as a Director of Nursing, I didn’t think they were paying attention to me beyond my certification. But there they were, calling me, acknowledging my work, and proving that even when it feels like no one notices, someone does.
Show Up for You
This experience drove home a powerful truth:
Be kind. You never know whose life you’re touching.
Follow your dreams, even when it feels like no one is clapping for you.
Keep showing up for yourself 100%.
Trust me, I know what it feels like to work hard without the likes, comments, or applause.
I know how it feels to keep pushing forward, wondering if anyone sees your effort.
But I continue to show up, not for the validation, but because I love what I do—mentoring, coaching, and educating others.
Keep Flourishing
Here’s my advice: Be your own cheerleader.
Show up every day with integrity, passion, and determination.
Keep pushing forward, because someone out there is watching, rooting for you, and waiting for you to flourish.
To everyone reading this: You have no idea how much your kindness and commitment can inspire others.
You may not always get the applause, but trust me, your light is making a difference.
Let’s keep showing up—for ourselves and for the world. 💕
