Course Goal: This course is intended to instruct long-term care professionals on Morning Clinical Meeting best practices, enabling them to implement more effective daily processes & procedures in the operation of a LTC facility. This will enable LTCF staff to ensure compliance with all regulations, ultimately resulting in a deficiency-free LTC facility with high standards in quality of care & quality of life as well as improved overall well-being for each resident. Learners will be able to: ▪ Define and describe the purpose, reason, & rationale of Morning Clinical Meetings ▪ Describe the roles and responsibilities of the DON and other members of the IDT in relation to Morning Clinical and subsequent follow-through ▪ List and describe strategies for ensuring effective time-management and task-completion during a Morning Clinical Meeting ▪ List and describe appropriate expectations for Morning Clinical Meetings ▪ Describe the characteristics of an effective Morning Clinical ▪ Identify critical topics/areas to review during Morning Clinical ▪ Identify strategies for determining additional areas of focus for an effective Morning Clinical ▪ List and explain Morning Clinical Best Practices DONs should implement to ensure positive results ▪ List and explain the 5 Rights of Delegation ▪ Explain potential Morning Clinical Meeting outcomes & subsequent action steps
