New ADON with no DON
i took a position 2.5 weeks ago to find out this week the DON gave notice to step down to floor nurse. I am begging for training information direction and still getting only "we will get together soon". There is a corp class on 5/6. I want to learn I want to be the leader I know I am and have been in my previous roles. Looking for understanding and knowledge of what I need to be doing. This facility has not had an ADON in years so honestly there just not used to having someone. I would possibly be interested in the DON position that no open however OBVIOUSLY I can not even consider that if I am already not getting any training. HELP
